SERVICE LIMITED WARRANTY
This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”), which is provided by Trackspec Autosports, Inc. (“Trackspec”), extends to you as the original purchaser of automotive repair, maintenance, and other automotive services (the “Services”) provided by Trackspec. This Warranty does not extend to any subsequent owner of the vehicle. Subject to the terms and exclusions outlined below, Trackspec warrants that the Services will be free from defects in:
Materials - The parts we install are not defective and perform as expected under normal usage; and
Workmanship - The Services were performed properly and to professional standards.
Warranty Period
This Limited Warranty lasts for 6 months or 6,000 miles of use, whichever comes first, from the date the Services are performed and based on the odometer reading on your invoice (the “Warranty Period”). Any remedial work performed under this warranty does not reset or extend the original Warranty Period. Some parts provided by Trackspec may carry a separate warranty that extends beyond the Warranty Period (e.g., a battery may be covered by the manufacturer’s five-year warranty). In those instances, the term of the manufacturer’s warranty will apply only to the part itself, — labor will still follow Trackspec’s 6-month/6,000-mile policy.
What’s Covered
If a defect in either materials or workmanship arises during the Warranty Period, Trackspec will, at its discretion:
Perform remedial service work and/or replace the defective part(s) installed in connection with the Services, or
Refund the amount paid for the specific Services in question.
what’s Not Covered
This Limited Warranty does not apply in the following situations:
Suspension Modifications: Damage from aftermarket suspension changes or excessively lowered ride heights that reduce ground clearance.
Fender Rolling: Paint damage, dents, or deformation from fender rolling or pulling — even if precautions like heat guns are used.
Abnormal use: Damage from commercial use, racing, neglect, improper maintenance, tampering, or external causes (e.g., accident, fire, water).
Incorrect Self-Diagnosis or Unrelated issues: Any issues unresolved by performing the Services ordered by you (e.g., if you order a starter motor replacement because your car was not starting, and did not allow Trackspec to perform a proper diagnosis, and the car continues not to start after the starter is replaced, this would not be covered).
Pre-existing Conditions: Any pre-existing condition with your car that is not known by the mechanic prior to starting the Services and that is discovered during or after the Services are performed (e.g., if you engage Trackspec to replace valve cover gaskets, but during the removal of the valve covers, worn plastic hoses break because they are old and brittle, not as a result of poor workmanship in repairing the valve cover gaskets; repairing and/or replacing the plastic hoses under that scenario would not be covered.
Consequential Effects: Any indirect or consequential effects resulting from the Services, where the parts installed were not defective and the work was performed correctly. (e.g., if you request a transmission fluid service, but because you have not been replacing the transmission fluid regularly, when our mechanic replaces the fluid, with the right fluid installed properly, your transmission stops shifting properly because it cannot handle the new fluid—this is a “consequential effect” and is not covered).
When the Warranty is Void
This warranty is entirely void under the following conditions:
Customer-supplied parts (i.e. not ordered through Trackspec). In supplying your own parts, you release Trackspec from any and all liability whatsoever related to the failure of the part, its installation, and any alterations made by the technician to retrofit the part to the vehicle. Additional charges may apply for:
Diagnosis or delays caused by incorrect/incomplete/missing parts
Time spent troubleshooting supplied parts, including fit or finish adjustments
Missing hardware, gaskets, adapters, and any other parts that weren’t included but needed
Third-Party Inspection or Repair Without Notice. If you take your vehicle to another shop to diagnose or repair a problem believed to be associated with such Services, without giving Trackspec the first opportunity to inspect and remedy the problem, this Warranty becomes void. Exceptions require approval from Trackspec.
