E46 M3 Pikes Peak
Build Series

The Trackspec Autosports E46 M3 was built with one goal in mind: conquering the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Follow the journey from the initial build and testing to race week, competition results, and the ongoing pursuit of faster times on America's Mountain.

  • Part 1: Laying the Foundation

The E46 M3 Pikes Peak project begins with a complete transformation focused on reliability, power, and cooling for one of the world's toughest motorsport events. Follow the early stages of the build, including a motorsport-grade rewire, supercharged S54 engine, custom cooling system, active suspension, and the car's first fire-up and dyno session.

  • Part 2: Optimizing Airflow & Cooling

With the foundation in place, attention turns to maximizing cooling efficiency and airflow throughout the E46 M3. From hood venting and intercooler ducting to supercharger air inlet improvements and continued fabrication, each upgrade brings the car one step closer to handling the extreme demands of Pikes Peak.

  • Part 3: Setbacks & Stronger Solutions

As testing ramps up, the E46 M3 faces its biggest challenge yet with a catastrophic engine failure. The team responds by upgrading to a fully built S54, sequential gearbox, and race-proven drivetrain before putting the car through intensive track testing to prepare for Pikes Peak.

  • Part 4: Race-Ready Preparations

The E46 M3 receives its final mechanical refinements and reliability upgrades. From rebuilding the differential and completing critical fabrication to dialing in the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain, every detail is focused on creating a car ready to take on the demanding climb to Pikes Peak.

  • Official Test Weekend

After months of development and track testing, the E46 M3 heads to Colorado for its first official Pikes Peak test weekend. The team evaluates the car, gathers valuable data, fine-tunes the setup, and gains critical experience on the mountain ahead of race week.

  • The Race to the Summit

The culmination of the E46 M3 Pikes Peak project takes the team through race week, from technical inspection and practice sessions to qualifying and race day. Follow the journey to the summit, the lessons learned on the mountain, and the results of the team's first-ever run at the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

  • 2025 Pikes Peak: Faster, Stronger, and Back for More

After an impressive debut in 2024, Team Trackspec returns to Pikes Peak with a faster, more refined E46 M3 and even higher expectations. Follow the 2025 campaign from the cross-country journey and race week preparations to an outstanding finish of 6th in Unlimited, 11th Overall, Fastest Production Car, and Fastest BMW on the mountain.

  • 2026 Pikes Peak: Chasing the Sub-10 Minute Run

Returning to America's Mountain for a third consecutive year, Team Trackspec set out to build on everything learned from previous campaigns in pursuit of a sub-10-minute run. Despite the mountain presenting new challenges, the E46 M3 delivered another standout performance, finishing 2nd in Unlimited Production, 15th Overall, and earning the title of Fastest BMW on the mountain for the second consecutive year.
