Position Summary
The Automotive Technician at Trackspec Autosports is responsible for performing high-quality service, diagnostics, and performance work on enthusiast and track-focused vehicles. This role requires strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a clean, organized, and fast-paced shop environment. Technicians work closely with the team to deliver precise, reliable results that meet Trackspec’s high standards for quality and customer care. Ideal candidates are passionate about performance vehicles, committed to continuous learning, and take ownership of their work from start to finish.

Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair customer vehicles with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Perform precision alignments, corner balancing, tire mounting, and wheel balancing
Install performance and OEM components according to Trackspec standards
Conduct thorough test drives and quality checks to verify proper vehicle operation
Accurately document all services, findings, and recommendations on work orders
Communicate clearly with service advisors or management regarding current and potential vehicle concerns
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at all times
Safely operate shop equipment including vehicle lifts, tire machines, and air tools
Follow shop processes and contribute to efficient, high-quality workflow

Completes services efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
Vehicles leave the shop properly tested, verified, and free of avoidable comebacks
Work orders are documented clearly and thoroughly the first time
Communication with the team is proactive, professional, and solution-oriented
Workspaces and tools remain consistently clean and organized
Demonstrates ongoing growth in technical skill, product knowledge, and efficiency
Treats every customer vehicle with care and respect

Required
Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a professional shop or dealership environment
Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to safely operate and road test customer vehicles
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience working with Lotus, BMW, Porsche, or Honda platforms
Welding and basic fabrication experience
Performance or track-preparation experience

Full-time position, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Potential transition to a 4/10 schedule in the future based on shop needs.
